Ali Forney Center

Truax Art Advisory partnered with Sotheby’s New York to present a selling exhibition to benefit the Ali Forney Center, a not-for-profit that serves homeless LGBTQ youth in New York. New works by some of the most important queer-identified contemporary artists working today — including Salman Toor, Doron Langberg, Katherine Bradford, Ilana Savdie, Chris Martin, and Justin Liam O’Brien — will be available for sale in September 2024 at the Sotheby’s Contemporary Day Sale.

Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ young people, the Ali Forney Center offers a beacon of hope for the next generation of queer-identified youth. From the Center’s mission statement: “Our goal at the Ali Forney Center is to not only provide food, water, and shelter. Our goal is to transform the lives of these young people so that they may reclaim their lives and never live on the streets again.”

BOFFO

Truax Art Advisory facilitated the 2022 and 2023 benefit exhibitions for BOFFO, a not-for-profit art organization and artist residency on Fire Island. Increasing sales revenue by over fifty percent, these presentations raised critical funds for BOFFO’s artist residency and annual performance festival. We placed works in the public collection of the Speed Museum, Louisville.

Founded in 2009, BOFFO presents experimental art and free public programs celebrating the work of LGBTQ and BIPOC artists in New York and Fire Island Pines.
