Truax Art Advisory is an art acquisitions and consulting firm focused on Modern and contemporary art. We provide personalized services and curatorial expertise to a broad range of clients, including private collectors, non-profits, museums, and artists.
We work closely with private collectors to strengthen and deepen their collections, building lasting value and personal meaning. We collaborate with our trusted network of galleries, auction houses, private collections, and fine art dealers. Combining rigorous market analysis with in-depth critical scholarship, we offer clarity in the sometimes opaque art market.
We are a full-service firm, and manage every aspect of acquisitions, including: negotiating on your behalf, fine art transportation and insurance, import and customs clearance, framing, installation, and loans to museum exhibitions.
We offer strategic guidance on collection management and deaccessioning artworks by sale or museum donation.
We provide consulting services to museums and institutions. We have recently placed artworks with AGO Toronto, Speed Art Museum, Louisville, RISD Museum of Art, Providence; Brooklyn Museum; ICA Miami; Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs; and Ogunquit Museum of American Art.
We work directly with artists and their studios on a variety of projects, including facilitating museum acquisitions.
Truax Art Advisory has raised over $1 million to support nonprofits that serve the LGBTQ community, and we are proud of our our longstanding partnership with the Ali Forney Center.
